Mariah The Scientist BIO
Mariah The Scientist is the stage name of Atlanta-born singer-songwriter Mariah Amani Aguilar. Her blend of R&B, alternative R&B, and soul is marked by intimate vocals and candid writing about heartbreak, vulnerability, and healing. Her early releases built a devoted audience, while Who Is Mariah the Scientist? (2022) brought wider critical recognition.
The 2024 Diagnosis Tour supported her album Diagnosis, continuing the emotional and medical metaphors that run through her music. Songs associated with her catalog include “RIP,” “Always n Forever,” “Doctors Orders,” and “Before You.” Her performances are known for a personal, reflective atmosphere that puts the vocals and lyrics at the center.
The listed Phoenix performance at The Van Buren took place on May 22, 2024, with Kali Uchis included in the event lineup. The available event details do not establish earlier Mariah The Scientist dates at this venue, so no previous appearances are assumed. For fans following Phoenix R&B / soul concerts, this date brought her emotionally direct style to a downtown live-music setting. Find event information through mesa-tickets.com.
Venue and Seating Information
The Van Buren is a 1,800-capacity indoor venue in Downtown Phoenix, converted from a historic vintage auto dealership. Concerts commonly use a general-admission standing floor, with mezzanine or balcony seating offered for some events. The exact layout can vary by performance.
For a close, high-energy view, the GA floor is the natural choice; arriving early can help fans secure a preferred spot. The mezzanine or balcony may suit those looking for an elevated view and a more settled experience, when those tickets are available. Shorter fans may find sightlines more challenging from the back of a crowded floor. Balcony access is by stairs only, so guests should check accessibility arrangements before purchasing.
Parking Information
The Van Buren has no on-site parking. Nearby paid lots and downtown garages are available, but can fill quickly on show nights. Reserving ahead or considering rideshare or Valley Metro Light Rail can reduce the uncertainty of finding a space. Metered street parking is limited, and the venue says guests may not park in the Ziggy Magic Pizza Shop / Stardust Pinbar lot.
